Heritage Mission is designed to be a comfortable, familial setting rather than an institutional one. The main building houses classrooms and living spaces for the children.
The children all assist in the preparation of meals, and they eat together in a common dining room.
Classrooms include computer resources and individual study carrels.
Dorm rooms are decorated uniquely with each student assigned a bunk bed and storage area.
Outside, the children enjoy a playground and tennis court. During the summer, they tend to vegetable and flower gardens on the grounds.
Also on the 11 acres of grounds is a garage with attached woodworking shop. A multipurpose building is used for exercise during inclement weather and for various programs throughout the year.
